the thing that sticks with me (and I’m sure it’s going to be brought back later, not doubting Mr. Grundy) is that it does seem his power is entirely too basic for a guy who’s probably only gotten better since his earlier works. Which makes me think there’s something we’ve all not seen yet.
Wait… that’s it? Schtein gets to go back to a normal life of mad science, jailbreak be damned? And how do you fix someone being legally dead? *waltzes into interview room, hands over CV*

Also I cannot imagine there isn’t paperwork already existing for undeclaring someone deceased. Sometimes people disappear and then reappear years later. It happens. Sometimes people fake their own deaths. I don’t see it as a big deal for someone as rich as Thanatos.

2060-Present: Found Jesus, got a new girlfriend, feel alive for the first time in years!
Based on his facial expressions on this page and his generally declining appearance on the last page, does anyone else get the feeling that Abel is just trying to keep up appearances until Schtein leaves the room, at which point he’ll collapse and ask for a doctor? His trip into Schtein’s mind really seems like it was really hard on him.
I’d wager Stein’s corrupted Abel’s mind in some way. The way he’s acting is more characteristic of Stein than Abel, and the lady’s giving him funny looks.
Sorry but can I make a request mr Grundy sir ;-;, can we just have like… 20 more pages of these guys making faces? Screw the plot XD at least screw it until we all get tired of the faces!
You guys are thinking entirely too basic in terms of how his power will work. Admittedly it might seem weak, but it already showed his mind can actively remember that which he stole. That by itself is astounding, as he can learn anything he wants in an instant. Care to learn the piano? Steal the memories of a master. If it also applies to muscle memory he’d be able to play like a master despite knowing nothing. Taking it a step further, if he can steal memories what’s the distance on that? Could he walk through a crowd and steal everyone’s personal information or does it require extreme proximity? From what we’ve been shown it works at a distance but much more quickly with direct contact. Finally, with his power he might be able to alter memories, or transfer them. The implications of that are terrifying, as each memory comes together to fundamentally make up your character. The tweaks to memories could be something small, ex. You said Mother, memory is altered and you said “Mom” instead. Then there’s drastic ones. “This man save my life.” Suddenly changes to “Schtien saved my life.” Let’s make it a little more realistic in the style of the comic. Schtien walks up to mob boss, pulls out a custom explosive trigger and hands it to him. Alters the memories and suddenly, he’s delivering that order that was placed. Walks out and suddenly a detonation goes off after he plants the idea the boss should check over the device. He could be unstoppable especially with his genius to make even more unique and complex plans. He could literally walk into a building, kill everyone there and leave one man there with the implanted memories to take the fall. (So long as no cameras disagree.)
Oh, my God, the expressions on this page <3 <3
Such a trollface in Panel 6. shouldn’t be physically possible.
Well. That went better than I expected. At least these guys keep their end of the deal.
he hasn’t made it out of the building yet…
Any op you can walk away from, yeah?

I remember seeing a single image of Schtein torturing the man in the photograph. I assume that is canon?

“He’s spending the year legally dead for tax reasons.”

I love when this comic updates, because it’s so delightfully well done. Bravo, Mr. Grundy, your comic is excellent!
