Wow, I just read page #26 earlier, then went back and reread the start of the chapter 7… and when I reloaded the Last Page page, I saw #27 had gone up! Sweet.
This is the cuddliest I have ever seen Schtein! I mean, look at that lack of personal space. I’m really enjoying the chance to see these two interacting.
the most comfortable he’s ever been around another person is laurence. I’m not sure he was ever this comfortable with Janet, but it was probably fairly close to being this level at some point.
Oh my god, does Laurence know?!? I had presumed they were both ignorant!
P.S. love the detail of Doc’s legs draped over Larry’s. That plus his unabashed nudity a couple pages back really highlights that this is the one person on Earth Schtein is thoroughly comfortable with. What a startling difference compared to how he reacts to everyone else.
Because he got pissed at Abel when he showed up at the house I didn’t think this would be such a big shock to him… plus Laurence killed Doc’s lawyer when he tried to call him. Not that that part would affect whether the big boss goes after Doc’s “family”, but it does show his character.
Also, I would imagine Laurence now believes that Doc is the whole reason Janet and Alice were threatened in the first place, so I can’t imagine he’d be too happy with Doc about that, even if it’s not his fault.
I vaguely recall a comic where he was remembering moving into his dorm in college and Laurence’s sister was helping him move a nightstand or something and her face was blurred and her name was sort of scrambled when Laurence said it because Doc couldn’t remember anything about her.
Man, I don’t want to see Laurence threatened and killed because of Schtein’s douchiness! We were just starting to like him! I guess I didn’t realize how close they were.

hah, good timing!
Schtein’s daughter is Laurence’s niece, right?
Cue the wacky ex-hitman and psionic supervillain team-up.

I did just notice he’s not even wearing gloves, good times!
That has got to be the slouchingest couch that ever slumped sagdom.

I think the shock for Laurence is finally learning that Doc is his ex brother in law and Alice’s father.

Doc doesn’t know Laurence is his brother-in-law because he’s a massive, ignorant tool, right? Or am I mis-remembering?

This is my absolute brotp, just look at them in that first panel. Kawaii.
platonic relationships in media are like my favorite thing in the world, honestly.
I can’t agree enough, we need more
My friend, that is something we have in common.
