Didn’t Langstrom steal Schtein’s work and/or sabotage the teleporter? I dimly remember something like that, but I read Chapter 1 back in…. oh god, in 2010… memory is hazy.
I looked it up, Langstrom stole Schtein’s work but Schtein sabotaged the device.
