He was allowed to have birthday parties until he turned 11, but they never had any other kids at them, only his mom’s friends.
The Version of “Ghostbusters” in this world must have been tricky to write free of plotholes without offending all the families of Soviet victims which would have still been a fresh grief as of 1984.
Nah, I mean, they didn’t stop making horror movies after 9/11. In fact I seem to recall a lot MORE disaster movies afterwards.
Entertainment is a way of coping with things. Even South Park did a 9/11 episode.
My birthday usually fell during Lent,, so I wasn’t allowed to have parties either. I feel you, bud. I eel you.
Is he finishing the teleporter?
awww. that last panel is the look of a man who is quite excited to finally tell someone about his big, nerdy project but is also nervous about said project being rejected as being too ‘crazy’ and ‘wtf.’ Your faces translate so well ^-^
Haha, we all waited for him to gradually turn from mad scientist to Mad Scienist, but apparently, he already has!
It seems I was wrong in my assessment of his finances and time needed to build a smaller version of the teleport-er. While not pocket sized it seems to be much smaller if it fits in that building compared to the Gov. labs version. To all who were involved in the discussion on the previous page I concede to your points. Also I like docks nervous/giddy expression in that last panel XD. Gotta say dock looks god in white, black, and red threads.
P.S. can we get Lawrence to throw him a surprise party with small cake/cupcake even if it is late for him? Would be kinda nice to see docks reaction.
Remember government labs versions of ANYTHING are 100x the size and 10**6x the budget.
I would love to have my own 1980s roller rink.
So it’s Starship Skate I guess, but we only see Ship Skate as a pun on cheap skate?
What are those two white dots in the gutter below the dumpsters? The eyes of a creepy stalking thing?
Pretty sure those are dandelions my dude
you’re overthinking this. the ship is because that’s where the word balloon went.
So Xanadu/ Joker. I love it! I adore it!!!
It’s kitchy and run down and adorable and just beyond perfect for a teleporter lab.
Also, people. This is one seriously badass page.
Ah! 1980’s Kid Zone/Pizza Parlor carpet pattern!!
it’s covered in shooting rainbow stars.
Funny thing: I got the idea from an youtube video of dudes inspecting a nasty ass love hotel somewhere on the east coast, I forget.
link to youtu.be <-- this one. Though I was working from memory, so it's not really the same.
