Chp7 Page 81
The hardest part of these pages was remembering which hand the glove was on
oh also all the guns, guns are hard to draw, they have tricky proportions. Shout out to all the weirdo gun nuts on youtube who make videos demonstrating specific models. I would not have known that there’s a visible pin that sticks out of the back of the gun dr schtein was holding on the previous page when there’s a round in the chamber otherwise.
Also I have some cool idea for some extra comics but I don’t want to say much else or I’ll jinx myself.
Looks like Schtein didn’t wanna go for a round 2 of memory lane XD
i’m sorry to say that Herville makes the cutest faces when he faints
That is a well done realistic revolver, kudos!
aww man, you did a really goos job of making Herville look just so ~vunerable~ in those last panels. Really contrasts both his closed-ness in the comic and the dire situation :D
d’aww, the kind of things that make Laurence smile :)c
Also, cool – I first read this on a phone screen and thought Doc’s eyes looked just looked kinda shiny and watery in the third panel cause they were half-closed as he lost consciousness, but actually the irises lost their red light. (I like noticing the details you add to his eyes – they glow, you can see the light through his contacts when his eyes half-close, and now the light turns off when he loses consciousness. You’d expect a key focus of a character design to have a certain complexity, but it’s still really nice to notice.)
HMMM I saw that thing with the eyes, yes I did.
Also, I too appreciate the difficultly involved in gun perspective and gun obsessives on the internet.
Thank you for the work you put into these comics.
+1
Well, now he’s got witnesses, an unconscious friend and more on the way. It’s hard to think how Schtein could have made Larry’s day any worse at this point.
Phineas gives a lesson in professionalism to Herv, by calling for backup before starting a fight. BTW, why didn’t Herv use his alt-powers as soon as Phineas head-locked him? Is that due to the disgust Herv experiences when in Phineas’ mind, or do alt-powers require time and concentration to work? I think also Abel, who has much stronger power, wasn’t able to use them quickly in a couple cases…
let’s say it’s a little bit of both.
Got it! BTW, Happy New Year and see you in January!
Also, this was going the be the first time Herville would have killed someone “in cold blood” (the murder in jail was in self-defense, and the two “lobotomizations” in Chicago were under Orville’s mind control). It could have been the birth of a new supervillain…but he’s “saved” from that by Phineas’ intervention. Just a case? Anyway, really curious to see what’s going to happen now!
Ah bluff or not bluff, there is the question.
Phineas’ face in the first panel is killing me, look at that adorable goofy lookin’ dude, you’d never guess how messed up he is based on looks alone, and that just makes me love him so much. Really love this page, Herville’s so adorable when he’s blacking out due to asphyxiation.
Just noticed Schtein’s eyes turned blue as he was passing out…
Recapping the story a bit. I’ve developed an astigmatism in my right eye recently and have found myself becoming more left eye dominant as a result. While reading about ways to compensate, I learned about a special shotgun with a stock handle that has an unusual twist built into it that’s for right handed men who’ve suffered right eye loss. If he ever needs to use a shotgun or a rifle, he’ll really need one of those in order to remain accurate.
Same… In both accounts actually. The backtrack and the change in dominant eye. For what I think is the same reason(That or a cataract, not that I can afford to fix either).
… Also for some reason I can’t help but think about how weirdly Hot Phineas is.
