Wow. I sat there for a good long while trying to reason why James and Kevin have different last names. Cain and Able, ha. I’m a little slow on the uptake. Anyway, great page! I love the dynamics and the panel layout. Plus, it’s wonderful to get some backstory and to see Schtein’s dad for the first time.
My dad had a sweater like Robert there. The same color. And he had those late 70’s glasses too! Good times.
Hhhmm. They live in … cells? That’s some heavy light for a corredor, so maybe they are underground. Theories!
Interesting. James Cain and Kevin Abel. I bet Doctor Orville gave those to them.
Interesting, also, that it’s James Cain who LOOKS to be on the “evil” side of things, but here we’re seeing Kevin Abel being the…not-so-nice one of the equation?
Jeez this family’s got some crazy variety of schnozzes. It’s fabulous, don’t get me wrong. Schtein must have had some bad genetic luck to be born with the surface area of both his male predecessors noses added together, though.
Maybe that’s why Robert’s so pissed at Orville. Must have been experimenting with the nose alleles again.
Aw, Kevin’s cute as a kid! I’m glad these guys might be getting some focus, I was worried it was going to be a boring chapter of office work and exposition. Though, I guess Delia could use some more characterization, she hasn’t really got much of that yet.
James, you are such a meanie head, taking your brother’s toy!
When archive trawling (to find were I left off in my case) and rapidly browsing through the pages.
There is a captcha and a 10 second countdown.
You can either fill the captcha or wait till the countdown is over and press *proceed* if memory serves.
Also. I hate to rain on your parade, but your posing shifted when it shouldn’t have. “James” has his hand on (shoot I can’t remember which one is Cain and which one is Abel, and I don’t feel like going back! XD) his brother’s chest and likely putting a decent amount of weight on it. If his brother suddenly became intangible his hand would have fallen through to the floor. There’s no way his foot would have shifted forward like that. They would have either not moved at all (the most likely) or shifted back just a bit (also plausible). So in the top right panel his right leg should either be bent like the left, or he could be down on one knee and the other come up slightly. Both work.
Aaaah, I love how they both have mutant powers!
derrrrppppp
Maybe not… That could be a forcefield

Look at dem sidies on Grandpa S! Wonder what Herville would look like with sideburns.
Like that, except white hair :P
Actually, he’s still got blonde hair in his sideburns. Fun fact!
he does, yeah. But he’s also not very good at growing facial hair at all.
Oh look at those magnificent…family resemblances.

Grandpa Schtein may be evil, sick and twisted, but golly isn’t he fashionable?
Good golly, if that’s Doc’s dad, he wasn’t a big fan of granddad is he? At least SOMEONE wanted the Doc raised right.

Did this comic just get awesomer?
….
Yes. Yes, I think it just did.
Yeah, ’cause that last frame face really says “Trust me” and not “I am THIS CLOSE to world domination”…
Hmm. So I’m guessing Cain and Abel were some kind of genetic experiment from ol’ grampy Schtein? He sure did have a penchant for dramatic names.

Does he have a Kamen Rider action figure there?
I feel sorry for Margot, whatever happened to her.
THEY ARE BROTHERS! :O Purple floaty dude and the detective! SQUEEEEE!
Nice!
By the way, were you guys DDOS’ed at any point in time? I’m getting a security catcha.
Where? When you comment?

Does anyone else read grandpa Schtein’s speech as Doc Brown?
I read it as every mad scientist I’ve ever seen in movies, comics, or read in books.
