Chapter Nine, Page 15
Kind of a spot the difference game in the last panel.
also lil hitch in updating sorry. A couple weeks ago I was like “I would like a week off” and then after that I realized oh crap this is a page that will take forever to draw (outside of house). So yeah that’s what happened there. anyway I’m super excited about the next sequence coming up here. Long time coming!
The moment I saw that last panel I understood the slight increase in update time; it’s such a beautiful frame! Seriously awesome work on that one (I mean, same for the whole comic of course, but the colours and lighting in that one panel are just glorious!)
Seconded.
I just realized, what with the Halloween decoration already up if Herville buys himself some fake vampire fangs and removes his contact lenses, he could call himself “the Suburban Vampire” and pose as a Halloween decoration on the front lawn. XD
Heck, call Opa Schtein and have him join them. Spruce up that front lawn with a couple glowing fungi! People can take some home if they want! ;-)
And for a small monetary fee the Doc will demonstrate his “vampire mind trick” and read people’s minds!
(Stanley Pines would give an arm and a leg for an attraction like this. Or *someone’s* arm and leg anyway.)
Ha.
So the burning question is, IN the window, or OUT the window?
Out, I guess? Like when a character wakes up in the hospital, they just have to escape?
I would have to assume “out the window”. unless, of course, they don’t have a staircase for some reason, and Alice was sent to her room with the understanding that it would require her to go outside and then climb up the trellis to get there.
The plot thickens! I hope we’re getting closer to a reveal if Alice inherited any weird powers.
But considering Herville was “modified” long after his birth, the answer might be “no”. Question is if Thanatos and others will take “no” for an answer?
Well, it depends on the sort of modification in question. Germ-line genetic changes would be heritable, provided that they happened prior to Herville siring kids, which seems to be the case. She might not have noticed she has any powers yet, though, even if she does have the potential. And I seem to recall Opa needed to unlock them somehow anyway?
Love to see the updates – looks like we will be getting to the scene that inspired the title page for this chapter. : )
