Unrelated, I’ve deleted my twitter for uh obvious reasons. But I am still on Mastodon, tumblr (at mistahgrundy), and now bluesky at dirkgrundy. I don’t know how many people actually used my twitter to get comic updates. Feels like I got less and less traction for my stuff over the years there thanks to algorithms or what have you, so whatever, no big loss for me. Twitter’s been a not so great space for artists for a long time. Also bad for mental health!

This is just, a certain segment of German society absolutely perfectly observed lol. From the 5:30am office start time, to the bottled water only, even down to the Northern accent on the greeting: “Morjen!” Reminds me of my friend’s technical drawing job Maybe by accident but you just got this fully spot on
it’s not exactly water in that bottle but yeah. I have a bunch of reference files for accents for him. I could lay it on a little thicker but every time I write it out like that I second guess it a bit
I binged this whole comic last night… and I’m commenting this now because I binged it today, too
wow damn. that takes a while. like a couple hours to read now I think
I shall binge read too but only once there is somewhat stable updating schedule again … otherwise needing to binge read per every update would become bit tiresome

Just finished my most recent reread and as always excited to see where the plot points go. I’ve been a fan for over a decade and I’m glad to see that even if it can take a while, progress is being made on this story when so many others from around the same time have risen and fallen. I’ve always loved how you use color, shading and mess with the shape of panels to add to the energy of the scenes you write and illustrate. I wish you a happy new year and hope that it is a pleasant one!
