Inaccurate / mindcontrol tasting memory bit in progress! Two handled umbrella. Two headed flower. Tree in house. Blood unnoticed and ignored. Weird curtains. Love the not-weird WW1 picture. No clothing anacronisms noted, considering the rest THAT is weird. Maybe the /characters/ will be accurate memories?
If this is a concern, you could give the second umbrella further back a brighter color, to make it more distinct from the front one and from the shadows. Say, a light gray, or blue. Or yellow!
I already considered that, but it’s such a minor thing. And I don’t really like editing pages once they’re already published that much. Most I’ll edit them for is a typo, and sometimes not even then (lookin’ at you, typo in chapter one!).
The tree looks great in these panels, by the way. I am endlessly impressed with your work, from the very first page to this one. If you ever end up publishing this as a physical book, I’ll probably buy it just to stare at the art some more.
wha- is that blood?
also there’s a tree growing in the house.
That umbrella also has two handles. WHAT KIND OF CRAZY NO-WAY HOUSE IS THIS?!
That one….might just be 2 umbrellas with one in front of the other.
I’m… I’m decently sure that’s just one umbrella superimposed over another one, haha.
It’s two umbrellas. :|
Oh my god , I see it now….-goes to hide forever in the fail corner- :”(
No, but double-handled umbrellas would be perfect for people in love
WHO ARE HYPERSENSITIVE TO TOUCH
gross. :(
go home, memory, you drunk!
Yay, flashback time! Young Schtein is kinda cute. Also, loved this curtain-like transition.
Well, of course he remembered the sandwich and carrots, it came with apple juice! Apple juice!!
Also, little Schtein is the cutest little bugger. I feel the need to ruffle his hair in an affectionate manner.
For a second I thought the entire story before was just a story little Herville was telling and I got really mad
hahahaha oh man. That would be a hilarious cop-out.
So then make the next installment a single panel of Dick Van Dyke just waking up and complaining about this wacky dream he had.
Aw! This page is cute once you get past the blood on the stairs and the dread of what exactly Opa Schtein means by “medicine…”
Hahah, great first panel! Sort of meta, but also not.
The curtain merging with the tree across panels is a anice touch.
It’s the Addam”s house!

It’s two umbrellas, not a two headed umbrella.
Oh my god , what did I start?

I liked the two-handled umbrella :(

hehe… this is what the doctor meant when he said he had all the time in the world to get reacquainted.
all the weird stuff is perhaps his mind fighting it?
Little Herv is simply adorable!
