Aw, buck up, little camper!
Phin’s just jamming out back there, isn’t he?
What do you suppose he’s listening to?
adult contemporary. Really gets the murder juices going.
Dunno about you, but when I need to get amped up to pound in some faces, Bocelli works.
Human screams, probably.
Say wouldn’t this be Page 1
Love all of the painted backgrounds in this page. The contrast of harsh and softer lighting is really cool. GAH. Stop making pretty arts. But don’t. Because yanno…
OH EM DUB JAYJAY!!! WARDENN!!! SCHTEINFACELAST PANEL AWESOMEEEE!!!!!
Aw man, beautiful execution of a gripping first page! It’s good to see Schtien in all his pale, sullen glory again.
Paths will cross again.
Can’t help but notice that the driver’s hat says “Coyote”. Hmm. Probably doesn’t mean anything, but I do just love little details like that. :D
Perhaps they have a full line of subversive career identification patches in the not-too-distant future?
Hate to tell you, Schtein, if this was a fairy tale, you’d not be the valiant hero. You’d be the evil megalomaniac wizard. But hey, some girls really have a thing for evil wizards (especially redeemable ones with a tragic past). Wizards are smart. Smart is sexy.
Now I wonder if Schtein played D&D in college.
Heh, he seems to realize it. Poor sod doesn’t seem to be willing to do anything about it though.
Spoken like a true adult, JayJay! :D
in which schtein knows his place in the universe
I’m a little confused as to who is talking to Schtein. I would guess it was Abel, but he looks pretty involved in his book to have asked someone a question a few seconds prior.
Schtein is merely complaining aloud to the universe at large. ;-) All good villains need to practice their moonologue skills.
We’ve seen Schtein talk to himself before. But in the past he only did it while alone.
Yeah, but it’s just common courtesy to pay attention to the villain’s monologue for AT LEAST ten seconds after you ask him a question.
Rescued from him? Forshadowing?
Also, how the heck is he on a plane without identification?
Private aircraft, owned by the mysterous company that saved him.
Is that the same book he’s reading? If only I had time to go back and check right now!

I don’t think so.
*back from work* So it isn’t XD
thank you for checking that for me though!
I considered making it the same book but then I didn’t want to look it up and see what the previous one looked like. He’s probably reading like five books at once, he’s a voracious reader.
Beautiful as usual, especially the landscape in that first panel. I am so excited to see Schtein out of prison, can’t wait to find out what happens next! The way you handle your characters is so human. I know that sounds weird and obvious, but… Well it’s really good work. Schtein just becomes more and more real with every page.
Nice details, including the skeleton of … something … in the top panel, and the hula girl in the truck.
So I’ve got to ask: How much of the continental United States was hit during the nuclear exchange? We all know that the Cold War turned hot in this Universe, but we don’t know the extent of the damage!
no, we sure don’t. I’m sorta trickling that out slowly. Nothing more boring than an unnecessary world info dump. I can point out that there was a flag in the background a month or so ago that only had 27 stars.
oh, also the damage isn’t entirely from nuclear exchange there were also biological bombs as well.
Sexy nose…. O///O Sexy hair…
Why is he so cute???!!! *tackle*
