Good Ol’ Uncle Abel. They’re almost the same age, too, so that’s kinda weird, but hey sometimes you have more kids later in life, right? Even if you… have to create them in a vat from donor DNA. Whatever.
Is his power something like “I get in your head the more I know you and can influence you.” or is it “I have a power that influences through speech.” or “I have a silver tongue.” Stein’s ability to talk his way into and out of trouble reminds me of Loki from the Avengers, except with less focus (so far). Stein sure can act like a madman when he wants to.
more the first one.
Hahaa, is it bad that the second to last panel really makes me feel for Abel? He is so done with this shit
But since Schtein’s powers seem to do with memory also, and they ARE in his brain, if he can twist his memories into something misleading or outright lies. of course from a storytelling point of view this is a great way to flesh out the bits of backstory that Schtein would never willingly reveal, so maybe not haha
Abel could probably see right through that, if Doc tried. He’s got more experience in these matters, you see.
maybe the powers are more concepts like Schtein has powers of corruption while Abel is Dominance?
Abel’s powers are more like ‘whatever the story needs’, heh. Schtein’s are pretty specific.
Heh. Eyes in the blinds. I like that.
And the one finger!
Oh, right man! That’s wicked! I just noticed it, too!!
As always the detail is amazing and fabulous! Just what Schtein has learned in this interval is really not entirely clear to me, but I know it will have profound effect on others in his story.
I wonder, Able is now walking into a black and white room…. Maybe Doc has reversed the situation and now they are walking in Able’s noodle instead?
nah I’m pretty sure that would be in color. Doc’s the only one who can’t see them. Must be some place post-electric-eyes
Oh shoot, is that the lab? ;-;; Who keeps labs in closets? Tbh I probably would, it seems incredibly efficient. I love the subtle metaphors on this page-unless they’re not there and I’m just reading too far into it. And I’m not sure either the second-to-last panel is Abel’s reaction to Schein’s uncle epiphany or to the lab, but it’s wonderful either way.
OMG dude, I’m loving those eyes watching from the window panel. So creepy, so perfect. lol at Abel being his uncle, Doc’s family keeps getting weirder and weirder XD
I assumed he was “done with this shit” and ducking out to a bar of his own creation for a drink (in doc’s head, hence the black & white).
His super ability is wicked halitosis. Dragon breath, baby!
I’m waiting for Phin to come back :D
See, I have read this comic three times now, but I am not with Abel on this one… yet I suppose.
I have hunches, but nothing that just happened made me clearer on what Schtein’s opa did to him.
Is his power that he can manipulate/influence people(‘s reality)?
